You know what the Wii needs?

A full on driving sim. I'm tired of all these gimmicky racing games with little plastic shells of controllers (even though Mario Kart should be good). What I want, is a full on driving simulation, with more than a shell for a controller. A full Steering wheel with a horn, pedals, gears, even down to windshield wipers and turn signals. I don't want Nintendo to do it, they might make it sorta kiddish, and EA might just screw it up. We need actual cars, and a good racing game developer. mirite?You know what the Wii needs?

Racing sims don't really appeal to me. But I can see the attraction some people have to the genre. But frankly Wii can't add much to racing sims so I think it's better they just remain on the other consoles.
Racing Sims are usually very reliant on strong hardware for success. The graphics, physics, and environments all go together to make it a true simulation of real life. Anything on the Wii wouldn't come close to what's on the other systems. And who do you expect will develop this game? Because it won't be Nintendo. The racing sims on the other consoles are all first party, if I'm not mistaken.
The only racing game for Wii I care about is Mario Kart.
Racing games like Gran Turismo and Forza are really boring. I want a more arcade game. Mario Kart is one of my favorite.
what would be cool is using the wii balance board, as the pedals, so the right is for acceleration and the left for braking, and the harder you press down the faster you go. Plus you would also use the wii remote to turn aswell. That would be sick if done right.

I don't care about any racing sim. I just want Mario Kart and a new F-Zero game to satisfy my desire for a racing game.
