Wii Shaft shown at CES, questions

So this Shaft thing looks interesting, like a variation on the Clssic Controller.http://gonintendo.com/?p=33083 My question is, why so few buttons? Doesn't that limit it from doing N64 titles? And I am assuming it is designed with the 90 degree turn of the D-pad in mind, right? So ''up'' on my Wiimote D-pad is really ''left'' because I turn my Wiimote 90 degrees to play VC titles but this Shaft would already have that in mind, right?I'm just curious why I should get this instead of a full on clssic controller. It seems limitted in comparison. I suppose it would be a better way to play fighting games and Pac-Man though.Wii Shaft shown at CES, questions

The body of the controller is still too small.I think they're trying for a hybrid fighting stick but the problem comes in that it's not big enough for the hardcore players and too big for the regular users.Kinda like when you try to please two people you end up pleasing none.

They should have a small compartment guitar hero style so you can place it in the box with out the wiimote dangling...thats if it connects to the wiimote and not the gcn port.
