Wii Inventor is American and he's on Fox ...

That's right. See for yourself on Mark Saxenmeyer's interview tonight at 9pm - central time. He's not Japanese and he never worked for Nintendo. For all of you Wii lovers the concept was invented by Patrick Goschy formerly of Midway Games... God bless America! Wii Inventor is American and he's on Fox ...
yeah whatever. he can claim whatever he wants and i can claim i invented god. it doesnt matterWii Inventor is American and he's on Fox ...
yeah whatever. he can claim whatever he wants and i can claim i invented god. it doesnt matter
haha. so you are basing your judgement on a guy who claims stuff? that is so realible.
I dunno about that one :?
whatever .... this guy, alone, without nintendo, he wouldn't have made a buck with the wiinintendo is just the master peace of PR ... i can't explain why, but they totaly rock for selling hardware and game
$50 says Fox is getting paid an ''extra something'' to run this.
I don't care and I don't think I should care about this lie...
Oh the lies.
'tever, I don't care.
Dude, he invented a controller with wires with motion sensing...he didn't make the Wii.
so
I lol'ed at this.
what time is it one I want to watch and Laugh!
who cares
Oh wow, Fox. A reputable source.
I don't belive this crap, until I hear from Nintendo, and wth Fox? Why would you trust fox?
I posted this on GGD, but it's relevent here as well:Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. What the individual in question is claiming is that he invented the technology a decade ago. That's never been in doubt, and Nintendo has never claimed to have invented motion-sensitive technology. Controllers existed a decade ago which could sense direction, tilting, and movement speed, and IR technology existed pre-Wii as well. Those who designed the Wii did so around a number of existing technologies. They get credit for the design, not so much the ''invention''.A similar situation exists with the DS -- Nintendo wasn't the first to design touch screens. They've been in existince since the '80s at least. The methodology for using older technologies in new ways that expand gaming systems was coined by a Nintendo developer, the same one responsible for the Gameboy design, 2D Metroid series, the NES Zapper gun, etc., namely Gunpei Yokoi, in one of his now-famous white papers. Nintendo and some of its engineers claim design credit, just as they did on the NES even though the technology for the NES was first developed in America. That's not the same as saying that you invented every technology. I mean, the Wii uses Wifi too, but that doesn't imply an invention of Wifi technology. There are some Patent issues here, obviously, that have to be sorted out. But these are never very clear-cut due to the abstract nature of patents. And in this case, it looks like the patent was likely never filed in the first place due to actions taken by Midway.
I really don't care at all. Nintendo didn't invent the motion sensoring and touch screen. At least, Nintendo put these technologies in a good way to make games.
