Why so hard to find?

Its been a year and its still impossible to find a Wii. Is Nintendo not making enough systems? Why so hard to find?
I think it is so hard to find because everyone wants one and Nintendo did not anticipate the huge want for this system and now they cant catch upWhy so hard to find?
it's a marketing scam plain and simple. there's no way a giant company like nintendo can't make enough systems after a full year since release, if ya think otherwise you've been fool by their marketing division.

The answer is simple: It's just that awesome.
I kind of question their inability to release enough systems myself. Virtually none of the technology in the Wii is cutting edge. The proc and graphics card should be easy to make in mass quatities. Who knows though since I've never worked in a manufacturing supply business.

Its not that its direct proof... the logic behind each arguement, either
1. Nintendo manufactures shortages so that demand seems extreme
OR
2. Nintendo cant keep up because 1.8 million units a month is a $hit load.

Right. So what you're saying is that Nintendo hate money?

The problem is, unlike you'll find with PS and XBox, the Wii is popular ALL OVER the world. PS and XBox are limted, for example, US, England, Germaly, etc.

They really can't make them fast enough, on a worldwide basis. Really.
You guys are all wrong. If u understand the meaning of the word MARKETING TECHNIQE. Thats is what they are doing. Here it is: they make loads then they only ship 15 to a store and they dont tell them that they have more, then people buy them, then they keep getting sold out, and people are saying that '' wow that system must be good becuase it is getting sold out we should buy it''. Nintendo keep repeating this and that is there trick. IF U THINK ABOUT IT, IT IS A VERY DIRTY CLEVER TRICK, THEY ARE SMART PEOPLE.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wrong.

The reason behind the ''15 per store thing'' is that it spends them around. So retailers gets a chunk.

Which looks better; One big store that has, say, 10,000 units all in one place or lots of different stores all sprend out into every possible store?

It's a shortage, nothing more.
they're making so much money it's not even funny, and this allows them and others to put out all these ''bend over'' bundles that include a $250 system and one or a few lame games that don't sell and charge insane prices because well if ya want one you'll spend all kinds of money to get one. it's a huge hype machine.

Oh really, so they loose out on countless customers who will not wait... and wow talk about marketing techniques... just because you capitalize and make your points red does not make them more believable.(To me anyways)
