Need more ammo on Resident Evil 4

Hi guysI'm so stuck, it seems I have been far too liberal with my ammo in the game. I am in 3-2 in the gallery, where I have to kill a shed load of enemies and have little to kill them with. My weapons consist of a Punisher, Shotgun, TMPand Rifle Gun. But I have hardly any ammo left to kill them with. Well, to be exact I have 3 rifle gun pellets, 26 rounds of hand gun bullets and 50TMP and 1 flash grenade. I have little healing stuff as well. Any tips of how to get out of this mess and how I can get more ammo? I have about 39000 ptas. I have tried 4 times now to kill them with what I have and it's simply not enough. Also, my save points are far enough back to go and make a difference.Pleeeeeeease help me. :(Need more ammo on Resident Evil 4
The gallery is whre you find a free rocket launcher?, sorry but I don't know where is that part, anyway, you can do almost everything just with the knife, I have never been out of ammo, actually everytime I finish the game I have a lot of spare ammo, just shoot in the face and kick the, then use the knife in the ganados, if they try to rise again just keep knifing their legs until they fall again or the opportunity of doing a suplex appearsNeed more ammo on Resident Evil 4
Well if none of them have helmets on it would be good to just pop them in the head with the rifle or if you can get close,shoot them in the knees and then do a suplex then cut them on the floor.Or if you have tmp ammo then just get there legs with that.Oh and if you can, try to kill that damn goat.Edit:I'm a bit confused i might be thinking somewhere different but anyway if your ammos low always get them to the floor and cut them and knife also works really well on the shields.
Hi Thanks for the replies. That's pretty much what I have tried already, but there are too many of them on this occassion. I fire at their legs and head, one falls to the floor, as i'm trying to finish him with a knife, one grabs mefrom behind, and the others lift up Alexand it's mission over. It'sthe part just after you kill the guy that's chained up in the prison, and you flick the switch to gain entry to the gallery. There must be 20-30 of the things, guys with shield and evil guys with red masks, sorry I don't know what they are properly called :oops:I can't get away from the door to even find a free rocket launcher? Because they come at me from the middle, then split up and come round the sides. I don't stand a chance as they are coming at me from all angles.:cry:
Also, the flash grenades take out exposed parasites. If you can, avoid using the ammo on the parasites until you get a group of 3 or 4. That should free up a good bit of ammo. Save the shotgun for only the biggest groups (10-12) and you can even run around to position yourself where a large group will come to you. Let them close in extremely close (let's say, when their arms raise and the lunge) before you feed them the pellets.If it's at all possible to backtrack or get to a merchant, search for ammo and upgrade you weapon capacity. Upgrading capacity gives you a full clip regardless of how much you have loaded.RE4 also has scaling difficulty, so as you retry, it will eventually get a little bit easier. Also, at the encounter, go around and smash everything and do a recount. Jars, barrels, drawers, paintings, chairs, etc. often have money or weapons left behind. Then make every bullet worth as much as possible.Another tactic is devide and conquer. When you get one away from the pack, shoot the legs or face and get them down, then knife them until they disolve into the ground (and possibly leave more ammo). Finally, make use of your chokepoints, but try to keep a backdoor open. Lastly (for real this time), try taking a break. Go get a glass of juice,look out the window, think about it a little bit, and make a solidgame plan. Prioritize your targets and decide 3 spots that are somewhat defendable.Decide a prefered order, then stick with it. Once your first point gets too busy, go to the second and keep picking at them, make the last one the most defendable.
Oh yeah this part is quite difficult at times, well you could flash them first which will get everyone stunned but the shields, then try snipe the 2 shields in the head through the shield(if you get it right it will go through shield and pop there heads)if you cant do that when there coming from the sides just get one shot in the legs and run past them, go down the stairs and there will be a door and some shotgun ammo in there.As you go through you should be able to figure out a plan.I hope that was understandable and also I don't know how far a shopkeeper is from there but if you can bothered running back and have space the mine thrower should be a big help.Edit:But as effthat said its always good to take a 5 minute break even if you dont plan it.

The red guy stands still so use the sniper rifle to fire through the shield guys first (with a bit of practice, headshots take them down quick). Then move halfway down the middle walkway and two sniper bullets to the red robe (one head shot of the guy, then one headshot for the parasite). Run to where the red guy started, turn around and use a shotgun shell to buy sometime with the guys behind you. Run around and gather ammo. Then work your way down the steps and into the back room. Put ashley in a back corner, flip the switch, gather the ammo and sit tight. Be really patient and they'll eventually come down to you. Use the door to knock them over, knife them, etc etc. But (this is important) there is a hole in the ceiling and they'll drop down from above, so try to stay in the back corner next to ashley.Anyway dude! Run past all of them when you get in the room, run down the stairs, open the door and wait there for the enemies to come to you.It gives you a better chance of getting them one on one and you can take the amno of the ones you killed it worked for me.

You could just run past them (and try your best to keep them away from Ashley) and go into the back room with the two yellow buttons. If you do that successfully, you should be able to bottle the flood of enemies you skipped - meaning they'll all be coming through one door and you can pick them off easy.



I haven't actually tried that, but it may work :P

Firstly, no offence taken. Girls play games too, gory ones at that!:PI tried and tested all of the suggestions, it seems running past them like a big girl works best (well for me anyway), I just died again whilst standing on the two platforms, butI did a save after blowing up most of the bad guys.My nerves are stretched taut! Aaaaaaargh!!!
AAAARGH!! Dead again. It's doing my head in. Gonna burn some of that frustration off beating the **** outta my opponent in Boxing. :twisted:
HurrahI left this game alone for a few days. Just went back to it and managed to complete that part of the game. Phew! Thanks for all your help!
