...and burn your copy of the game. Either that or just stay don't play online.Now, let me explain what I mean. I've enjoyed Mario Strikers for the 6 months it's been out. It takes skill to be good and some luck to be great. And it only took 2-3 months for people to start ruining the game for everybody else. The first few months were fun. People really hadn't mastered all the skills and everybody was just shooting to their hearts content. Slowly but surely, the cheap tactics worked their way in. The deke-goals with toad, boo, dry bones, Waluigi, Peach, or Princess. The shot off of the wall behind the goal to pop up on the other side to shoot it in. The deke to draw kritter away and then pass for an easy score. The weak shot/pass right over kritters head that he just can't seem to stop EVER. While all of these things are certainly valid parts of strategy (not really), using only these things makes the game ridiculously boring and mundane for those of us who were hoping to play people who actually possess skill.Now don't get me wrong. I hate to lose. But whenever that loss is to somebody who takes the time to figure out my habits, exploit them, and take advantage of them, I feel good. I was bested and outmatched. That player found a way to take away what I do best. What's more, he managed to find a way to continuously get a shot off when I did my best to keep him from doing so. It might have been a defensive match where neither one of us took too many shots because we kept stealing the ball...something that takes actual skill. And I would hope that the people who I face and defeat would be able to appreciate the fact that I played a straight up game.But as for these losers who pick mostly boo or dry bones and turn what was supposed to be something comparable to a soccer game into a cheap Nintendo version of tag...these losers can do something...something that I can't write on this forum. If I wanted to just play tag running after your character, we can lose about 95% of the graphic presentation, throw away the characters, jump on a flash game, and have our 8-bit icons try to catch each other. That's what these BS tactics boil down to. Any resemblance that this already chancy game had to an actual match of skill is thrown out the window.If you play straight up, you know what I'm talking about. And everybody who is ranked in the top 10-20 pretty much does the same thing. Every game. No skill. No fun.I hadn't been a big critic of Nintendo's wi-fi until this occurence came up. i know what you mean. i know how to do those 'cheap' moves, however, i only use them if others do it, otherwise i play with skill
I know exactly what you mean, and me and you have heated matches without all of this garbage.Props to you for having such a good record without playing like an ****.
lol... I know exactly what you're talking about. I hate the game enough that I didn't take it with me to campus...



This is the only game that my little brother is better than me at. Why? He has two damn Boo's and a Drybones and DK (the team I see quite frequently online with power characters switched around and the amount of DB's and Boos switched around)



I also hate that little instant chip in shot people do to start off a match... it's like, ''WTF am I gonna do about that?''



I've always though we should also be able to choose between different goalies...
Yeah, couldn't have said it better myself. The online game just gets boring. But like the other guy said, it just feels great when you kick their ass even when cheating :twisted: Maybe we should make an online tournament of just the players that actually posses skill, meaning, us.
