If it was dented fresh from the box, I'd call the store you purchased it from and see if you can swap it in for another.
im also wondering if my warranty can cover it.

A dent? :? What did you do to it to cause that? And there isn't anything you can do about since it's a physical injury to the product that isn't covered in the warranty.
