All the stuff Nintendo has given away has been to prevent damage and to stop theemselves getting sued by freaks with no proper way to get money, they don't just give stuff away out of the kindness of their hearts.

I don't know if you went to the NSider forums, the official Nintendo of America forum, but there was a group there called ''Sages'' who would get free games and other stuff every now and then. Super Paper Mario, Nintendogs, Big Brain Academy, Brain Age, and a couple of other games were all free gifts to the Sages.To become a Sage, you had to register tons of Nintendo products, be intelligent, and contribute to the forum.There were a little more than 200, also. Only a select few got them, but there was one user, Computers, I think, that had, like, twelve things from them.So in short: Nintendo does sometimes.
